She said…I’ll be honest
It doesn’t feel easy to me…
I’ve avoided using my computer for years.
Every time I click something, I worry I’ll break it… or lose something important… or end up somewhere I don’t understand.
My kids say, “It’s easy.”
It doesn’t feel easy to me.
I just want to:
- Send an email without second guessing
- Save something and find it again later
- Join a video call without panic
- Understand what I’m actually clicking
I don’t need anything fancy. I just want to feel comfortable.
I came across this guide (Basic Computer Skills for beginners) and what stood out to me was this:
It explains things slowly. In plain English. Step by step.
No pressure. No confusing language.
Just simple things like:
- what a computer actually is
- how to use the mouse
- how to save something properly
- how to fix small problems without calling someone
For the first time, I felt like… maybe I can learn this.
